Carys Thomas a 12 year-old from Newport, Pembrokeshire, has made a big splash in the open sea swimming world in aid of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity. The young star set herself the challenge to swim ‘cwm to cwm’.
She completed the 2.5mile swim from Cwm Newport to Cwm yr Eglwys in August. Carys said; “It started as a personal challenge” however after reading about the Splish Splash Splosh campaign she decided to seek sponsorship; “I chose the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity because it’s important that the children get what they need.” Carys has raised more than £2,000 so far towards the hydrotherapy pool for Phase Two – what a superstar!
