Sound of Music Star Connie Fisher opened the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity Barry Christmas Toy and Clothes Sale on Saturday 26th November.
Connie braved the winter weather and cut the ribbon across the entrance to the Tabernacle, declaring the sale open to the delight of shoppers hunting for early Christmas bargains that would put smiles on young faces.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity Vice President Connie is a keen supporter of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity. In March this year she ran the British Military Fitness 10k, raising hundreds of pounds for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity. Barry based Connie said of the Toy Sale: “I’m absolutely delighted that the sale raised so much for a brilliant cause. Seeing all the toys and games made me feel really festive – Christmas is here!”
The sale raised over £700 with all proceeds going to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity’s Christmas Stocking Appeal, which, in addition to boosting funding for a new hydrotherapy pool, will purchase much needed toys and games for the Children’s Hospital for Wales playrooms.
