Pantomime favorite Christopher Biggins visited the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales to light up the Christmas tree and kick off Christmas.

The King of the Jungle was joined by the Howells School choir to turn on the Christmas tree light and bring some festive cheer to young patients at the hospital.  The choir, dressed in full costume sang  songs from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and filled the reception with their harmonious singing.

Christopher who first visited the hospital in October 2010 met more of the wonderful staff and patients and spent time signing autographs, having pictures taken and spreading Christmas cheer.

Speaking at the Christmas switch on, Christopher said: “It was a pleasure to be invited to the official lighting of the tree. It’s so hard for the patients at the hospital over the festive season, but this is the first of a number of super festive surprises that the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity will use to bring Christmas to those who need it most.”
