Saturday 23rd June saw Anna Steward take on an 85 mile walk around the Isle of Man.

Determined Anna battled exhaustion and the elements during the walk, which she completed in 22 hours, 39 minutes and 5 seconds – keeping well inside the 24 hour limit for entrants taking part in the walk.

Anna fundraised for both the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity and the charity Combat Stress. She says both charities are close to her heart. In 2010 she raised £5,000 for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity on a 48 mile walk, which she says was good training for the weekend’s “gruesome” 85 mile challenge!

Anna has raised an amazing £2,566 to date. You can sponsor her here: http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/SpAnnaCH

We think she deserves everyone’s support – after all, the sponsored walk has caused her tendon damage, but she says, rather amazingly: “it was all worth it.”
