On a recent visit to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, Catherine Zeta Jones paid a visit to the construction site of Phase Two of the hospital. The builders and construction staff were delighted to welcome her on site presenting her with a golden spanner to tighten the bolts in the newly erected steelwork.
The site, due to be completed in 2015, took a break from work as staff became, naturally, distracted by the Hollywood star, kitted out in hard hat and high vis.
The now famous golden spanner was then signed by Catherine, who is Patron of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, and later auctioned at a special fundraising event for a fantastic £1,250, towards vital equipment to treat sick children in Wales.
