Girls and Boys at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital enjoyed a very special surprise visit from Peter Pan, Wendy and Captain Hook.  Taking time from enchanting audiences at the Sherman Theatre, the show’s favourite characters came to spread fairy dust and magic for the young patients, many of whom will be spending Christmas in hospital.

Little Lexi, aged 2 and three quarters, from Cardiff, enjoyed being swept away in the arms of Wendy during the visit. Lexi’s treatment finished that day so the visit was the perfect going home gift.

Sue Reardon, Play Services Manager said ‘Being in hospital can be an unhappy and stressful experience at any time of the year but at Christmas time this can be even more unhappy. Having fun visits such as the cast members from Peter Pan can help to make a child’s stay in hospital less stressful and more fun.”

The visit is one of a number of Christmas events organised by Noah’s Ark to bring festive joy to young patients and the staff.
