The Knightmare Entertainers  ‘We’ll Meet Again 1940’s Show’ was another sell out held on 30th November 2013 at the Labour Club, Kenfig Hill. On this occasion an amount of £1,050.00 was raised for Noah’s Ark, which was the charity chosen by Liz Williams, one of the performers, in memory of her great niece Ashley Faith.

This year’s show, written and produced by Linda Knight, encapsulated the music and mood of the 1940’s featuring sketches loosely based on favourite TV series such as Dad’s Army, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, and ‘Allo ‘Allo !

Together with WW2 favourites such as Gracie Fields (Andrea Williams), Marlene Dietrich (Linda Knight) the Andrews Sisters (Angela Taylor, Rhian Baker, and Samantha Cowan) and the “ amazing alternative”  Andrews Liver Salts Sisters (Neil Knight, Clive(Boots) Williams, and Colin Chapman), the evening proved an unparalleled success .

…and who on earth could ever forget  the memorable Mrs.Mills (Enid Smith), allegedly alive and well and living in Kenfig Hill and still playing the honky tonk piano!

From the music of the Glenn Miller Band to the memorable verses sung by Anne Beatty to the tune of Colonel Bogey , the show proved again, that Kenfig Hill and Pyle, have a wealth of local talent  all ready, willing and able for the next show…..

….and next year’s production is already in discussion, with promises of an even larger (and younger) cast and some nifty choreographed numbers provided by the Knightmare dancers!

So watch this space, and yet another Sell Out Show for 2014!
