Ethan

Tonight Ethan Welsh, 13 from Mountain Ash, will be living a dream come true… walking out with the Wales football team at the Cardiff City Stadium. Ethan who has lived with Cystic Fibrosis his whole life has been given the honour of carrying the sponsors, Vauxhall flag out onto the pitch ahead of tonight’s clash with Iceland.

Ethan who is an avid football fan has been in and out of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital all of his life after his mum, Beverly and dad, Neil, found out he would suffer with Cystic Fibrosis during Beverly’s pregnancy.

Despite undergoing an operation at just two days old Ethan looks a fighting fit 13 year old and has dreams of becoming a professional footballer himself when he grows up. Ethan now keeps his Cystic Fibrosis under control by keeping active (playing for 2 local football teams) and doing acepella exercises twice a day.

We’d like to say a huge good luck to Ethan and his family as they enjoy the game tonight and we hope he gets to have a chat with his favourite player… Gareth Bale!
