A big thank you to everyone who held a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, here are just a few of the wonderful picnics which were held to raise money this year.

A Darling Picnic
Darling Buds Nursery in Cardiff Bay was one of the many nurseries who held a Teddy Bears’ Picnic. The nursery had two very special Teddy bear days to make sure no child or teddy missed out! The children made teddy bear hats, eat bear shaped sandwiches and posed for teddy bear photos – Sounds like fun was had by all!

A Picnic for Steffan
A very special Teddy Bears’ Picnic was held at Cylch Meithrin Glan-y-Mor, Llanrhystud as a tribute to little Steffan Macczak, who died a few weeks ago after being born at UHW,Cardiff.  The picnic was held on what was to be Steffan’s due date and was attended by his mother Amanda and Grandmother Pam.
A fantastic £1118 was raised.

If you do down to the pub today…
The Sporting Chance, in Red Roses, Whitland, held a Teddy Bears Pub-nic on May 7th! From noon until 9pm on the 7th, the Sporting Chance donated a percentage of the cost of a pub meal to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, as long as the diner had a teddy with them!

Teddy Bears’ Party in the Bay!
Sunday, May 19th saw Michael Jackson, Hello Kitty and Super Mario attend a huge Teddy Bears’ Party in Cardiff Bay! The Wharf Pub hosted the party which was attended by over a hundred children and their families. The event was so successful that tickets sold out before the 2pm start time!

Aviva Insure Teddy Bear fun
Aviva’s Cardiff Office held a picnic in their office as a Friday treat. Each of the team brought a teddy bear into work for the day, at lunch they had tea and cakes and everyone paid for their teddy bear to attend. The team also held a colouring competition and a prize for the shabbiest teddy. They raised a fantastic £43 from their teddy bear fun!

Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the Big Kids!
Karen Clatworthy held a grown-up picnic for her friends in her garden inNewport.  Despite not having any young children, Karen really wanted to get involved as her son James, 17, spent lots of time at the Children’s Hospital for Wales after being diagnosed with Leukaemia at 13, and still returns regularly for check-ups.
She raised a fantastic £841.

Holly’s Day
Holly Stanley, aged 4, from Bridgend held a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Westward Community Centre, Bridgend.  Holly and her friend raised money by selling home-made cakes and other goodies as well as holding a raffle.  Holly was diagnosed with Leukaemia at 14 months old and received four months of intense chemotherapy, she is now home for good, returning only for check-ups.

The Teddies go to School…
Neath Primary Mynachlog Nedd Junior school raised a fantastic £250 by holding a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.  Parents, grandparents and the Neath Abbey Infants pupils were invited to enjoy the picnic and money was raised by selling cakes.

A Picnic for Bella
A bumper Teddy Bears’ Picnic held at Llangadog Hall and a sponsored walk has raised over £3,000. Sarah George, from the village, was inspired to fundraise after her niece, Bella, needed treatment in the Children’s Hospital forWales. Their sponsored walk traversed Carmarthen toCardiff, taking the same route Bella would have when she travelled to the Children’s Hospital for treatment.
