Virtual Half Marathon Terms and Conditions

 

Terms and Conditions

By entering this event and promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which is the basis of your relationship with the charity. If you are registering on behalf of other individuals, you hereby confirm that you have obtained the consent of those individuals to take part in the Noah’s Ark Virtual Half Marathon virtual event and that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

The event

The Noah’s Ark Virtual Half Marathon is a sponsored virtual jogging, running or walking event to take place during October.  The event is an ‘online only’ event where registrants take part in their own time at a location of their own choosing while adhering to Welsh Government social distancing rules. The event is designed to raise funds for the Noah’s Ark Charity.

The event consists of a challenge in which you must complete a total 13.1 miles or 21 kilometres of either jogging, running or walking by the end of October. You may undertake this challenge in a manner which is suitable for you and also adheres to the social distance guidelines.

You confirm that you are medically fit and acknowledge and agree that you participate in this event and follow the training advice given at your own risk. The Noah’s Ark Charity shall not be responsible or liable for injury or illness resulting from your participation and you need to arrange your own insurance.

 

Fundraising

You will use your best endeavours to raise money for the Noah’s Ark Charity in connection with your participation in the event.

You understand and will make clear to those who support your fundraising that any money you send into the Noah’s Ark Charity will be treated as a donation and used by the Noah’s Ark Charity to support the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales.

Donations are not generally refundable, even if the event does not take place or you do not manage to complete the challenge.

You will receive Noah’s Ark Charity branded merchandise when we are notified that you have completed your challenge.

You will only use lawful means to fundraise for the Noah’s Ark Charity and will not bring the charity’s names into disrepute. You will observe the following fundraising rules:

You will not use the Noah’s Ark Charity logo without first obtaining permission from the charity and will allow the charity to approve any materials produced whether printed or online.

  • You will tell your friends, family and other contacts who may support you that you are raising money “in aid of” the Noah’s Ark Charity
  • You will not incur nor are authorised to incur any cost, claim, loss or liability on behalf of the Noah’s Ark Charity.

 

Confirmation

I confirm I have read, understood and agree to all the terms and conditions set out above.

We recommend that you print and keep a copy of this agreement with a note of the date on which you accepted its terms and conditions. Many thanks for your support and good luck with your fundraising!
