The Big Give Christmas Challenge is your chance to double your Christmas gift to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. For this week only, from the 1st to the 8th of December 2020, every donation made on our Big Give page will be matched* – meaning that your money will go twice as far!
This year the funds raised through The Big Give Christmas Challenge will go to ensuring that we can continue to fund the essential work of the play specialist team. The play specialist team make the world of difference to the children of Noah’s Ark. The team work with around 1,700 inpatients and 2,000 outpatients in a typical month, providing vital distraction, preparation, learning and emotional support through play. Right now they are on the frontline, not only helping children through their treatment but also supporting families as they cope with the additional impact of Covid-19. The play team are heroes to the children of Noah’s Ark. They’re heroes to us too which is why we’re so immensely proud to support their work.
Baby Myles was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia at just five-months-old, just as Covid-19 hit the country back in March. His parents Natasha and Jonathon say they couldn’t have got through the last eight months without the support of the play specialist team. You can watch their story here.
