Jamie Roberts

Welsh rugby star, Jamie Roberts, made his debut on the wing against Scotland at the start of the 2008 Grand Slam season but made the move to centre on Wales’ tour to South Africa in 2009. He played in 14 internationals in 2011 and went on to play in all five of Wales’ RBS 6 Nations games in 2012 and 2013, helping the side to a Grand Slam and two RBS 6 Nations titles.  Later in 2013, he toured with the British and Irish Lions for a second time and backed up his Player of the Series award from 2009 by helping the touring side to a first series success in 16 years.

As if all this wasn’t achievement enough, Jamie is also a qualified doctor and manages his life on the pitch alongside his studies to become an MPhil in Medical Science at Queens’ College in Cambridge,

Already well accustomed to a hospital environment, Jamie kicked off his ambassadorship for the Noah’s Ark Charity with a visit to the neonatal unit during the launch of our Tiny Lives Appeal

Jamie said: “I got to spend some time with both parents and staff on the neonatal unit so can say first hand what an amazing place it is, filled with people who are absolutely committed to getting little patients well and home ot their families.  I’m delighted to be involved with the charity and the Tiny Lives Appeal and would encourage everyone to lend their support.”
