Suzanne Mainwaring MSc, Dip.M – Director

I am the Director of the charity and was appointed back in 2000 to design and deliver the capital appeal strategy to deliver Phase One of the (then named) Children’s Hospital for Wales. I am still responsible for the fundraising and business strategy, the governance and all things in between. I particularly enjoy organising very large events and back in 2002 and 2003, I organised the two Ian Botham Walks. I love my job.

My background is as a capital appeal specialist but having previously worked for two national charities my experience has also encompassed regional and community fundraising and also corporate and media partnerships.

I hold an MSc in Marketing and the post grad marketing diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Outside of work I belong to a theatre company, enjoy dress-making and house-renovation and have a young daughter.
