To pay in money you have raised simply fill out the short form below.

What your donation could provide

Donate £5. If 2 people gave £5 we could buy a Sphygmomanometer with selection of cuffs for the respiratory unit. This measures patients’ blood pressure whilst they are on the treadmill or on the exercise bike to ensure that they are tolerating exercise – especially useful for those children that have heart or lung disease.
Donate £10. If 100 people donated £10 we could buy an Oxygen Twin Flowmeter for the outpatients’ treatment room. These are available in every bed space and deliver oxygen to a patient when it’s needed.
£20 could buy craft materials to keep help patients learn through play while at the hospital.
If 3 people donated £50 we could buy a nursing chair for breast-feeding mums.
£150 could buy Volk lens 28 dioptre for the ophthalmology clinic
£500 could buy a wall mounted auroscope/opthalmascope for an outpatients treatment room. This is used to examine children’s ears, eyes and throats to look for a number of common childhood conditions such as glue ear and tonsillitis. The benefits of having them wall mounted is that this improves efficiency in the clinic rooms as these items have small parts which often go missing.
£750 could buy a full body bean bag – This helps clinicians move children into position for theatre. High specification bean bags are also used in the therapies department.
£1000 could buy a resuscitation trolley
£2000 could buy a mobile forced air warming unit for the surgery unit. This is a ‘bair huggar’ which is used to maintain temperature of a poorly child, particularly an infant who may be exposed to the elements for some time whilst doctors are examining them or providing treatments.
£2,500 could buy a portable Elector Cardio Graph machine (ECG) in critical care. This takes a recording of the electrical activity through the heart, demonstrating how it is working. Any faults can be easily picked up through this tracing.
