Chairman Lyn Jones, Ceri David and Dylan Carlyon, Director Suzanne Mainwaring and Roy Noble

The annual Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity St David’s Day Lunch went with a splash this year, as guests enjoyed meeting the family who raised almost £5,000 for the Hydrotherapy Pool campaign.

Six year old Dylan Carlyon and his parents David and Ceri were star guests at the luncheon, which was held at the Cardiff Hilton. David said “We are so thrilled to be here, and happy that we could raise quite a tidy sum for the appeal!” Their son Dylan raised thousands of pounds through his very own Three Peaks challenge. Dylan helped draw the raffle at the end of the afternoon, with the assistance of Toastmaster Gordon Gray.

The Aber Valley Choir filled the champagne reception with song, and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity Vice President Roy Noble spoke about the achievements of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity to date, following entertainment from classical trio Serin.

Between a successful raffle and auction, the afternoon raised £3080.00. The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity would like to thank Eddie Hayward; Tiger Spa, Penylan; SET; Y Talbot, Tregaron; Fred Gibbons; Eddie Rabaiotti and Crabtree & Evelyn.

And of course our good friends the Hilton who sponsored the champagne reception.

Lyn Jones, the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity Chairman, said, “I’d like to thank everyone who came out to support us – it has been another fantastic year.”
