On the 12th and 13th May 2012 team Rhys Lightning comprising Rhys Jones, Sian Elvis, Nathan Adams and Simon James will be taking part in the gruelling Thunderwalk Challenge 2012 in aid of the Appeal. The Thunderwalk Challenge is to complete a 54 mile trek over the Brecon Beacons in 24 hours. The Challenge will not only test the physical fitness of the team, but its mental strength as starting at midday on the 12th, much of the Challenge will be untaken through the night.
The team members have been training incredibly hard over the last few months, throwing themselves out of bed in the early hours of the morning to climb mountains at 6.30 am on cold winter mornings.
