Cardiff and Vale University Health Board are currently looking for volunteers to support a new Meet and Greet Service at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and Women’s Unit at the University Hospital of Wales.
They are also looking to expand this service further across their other hospital sites in Cardiff and the Vale.
The meet and greet volunteers provide a welcoming service to all patients, visitors and Health Board staff across various hospital sites.
Volunteers are there to help by
• Making patients, visitors and the general public feel welcome by signposting, directing and accompanying them to the appropriate location in accordance with their requests.
• Reassuring anxious patients or visitors who may be lost or unsure where to go
• Assisting with general enquiries and providing an information service.
