The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity fundraises exclusively for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. We are run by a small dedicated team of staff and volunteers and governed by our board of trustees.
Originally set up as an appeal to fund the actual building and equipment for the hospital’s first phase, today we raise funds for specialist medical equipment and facilities. This has included pioneering medical equipment, facilities and family support services. We are also delighted to be able to commit significant funding to support the work of the play specialist team, who provide therapeutic care for children going through difficult procedures at the hospital.
While we have met these costs, we do not relieve the NHS of its core responsibilities nor do we fund the running costs of the hospital.
Working in partnership with the hospital and its health board, we listen to the needs of the hospital management team in order to support the hospital’s strategic direction. In some instances we have launched very specific appeals. This has included our Splish Splash Splosh campaign to raise money to buy a children’s Hydrotherapy Pool, our new MRI Scanner, Critical Care unit and our Children’s Theatre Suite. These were highly successful campaigns which have been completed as part of the development of Phase Two.
