This year thanks to the support of many authors, publishers, local businesses, volunteers and associations within the town of Cowbridgethe Cowbridge Book Festival raised a magnificent £12,500.The Festival’s chosen charities for 2012 were the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity official charity of the Children’s Hospital for Wales and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
On Wednesday 13th August Tony and Stella Cheeseman who organise the Cowbridge Book Festival were delighted to visit the Children’s Hospital of Wales to present cheques for £6,100 to each charity.
The Festival also donated a wide selection of children’s books to the hospital which caters for patients from birth to teenagers.
