The amazing support we receive from our corporate partners is as diverse as the businesses they run. From giving money for specific equipment or sponsoring our charity events, right through to gifting toys at Christmas, we value each and every one.

If you think your company could support the 73,000 children who will receive treatment at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales
in the coming year, here are 12 ideas to
inspire you.

1. Payroll giving

It’s easy to give through your salary each month. Donations are deducted before tax so for example, a donation of £10 per month costs the basic rate tax payer £8.00 (the taxman pays the rest!) Payroll giving can be anything from £1 upwards and is a way of regularly giving to charity and being tax efficient.

2. Bag levy

An easy way to literally raise bags of money for us. We’ll provide point of sale material which will promote your support of the national children’s hospital for Wales to your customers.

3. Employee
fundraising

Team fundraising is a fantastic way to improve morale and increase engagement while raising money for us – your local children’s hospital charity.

4. Charity of the
    year adoption

Becoming a charity partner is a great way to contribute to a good cause while getting your work colleagues together to have some fun. Hundreds of businesses have donated valuable skills, time and money to the Noah’s Ark Charity over the years and we appreciate every penny they have raised. Why not nominate us as your charity of the year or maybe offer your services for free? If you’d like to find out more about what you can do to become a charity partner just let us know. We have a big challenge to raise over £1million in 2018 and our small team would love the opportunity to chat with you about how you could make a difference.

5. In kind
   donations

Offering your professional services can be a brilliant way to help promote your business and help support the charity. Whether it’s a free venue for one of our events, legal support, advertising space or a raffle prize, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact the fundraising team for a chat.

6. Sponsorship

There are both big and small levels for sponsorship within the hospital with branding and naming opportunities too. If you are interested in sponsoring our events, newsletter or other supporter mailings we’d also love to hear from you.

7. Taking part in
our events

Getting teams together to take part in our events is a great way to work together towards a fundraising target, as well as getting out in to the fresh air and supporting your local children’s hospital charity.  We have free gold places in the Newport marathon and the Cardiff and Swansea half marathons in 2018 so why not pull a team of colleagues together and sign up.

8. Volunteering

We rely on our amazing volunteers to keep our shop up and running, support our events and help with administration in our office. We really to value the time and effort that our dedicated volunteers provide.

9. Emergency
parent packs

Donating funds towards our emergency parent packs or even putting some together as a team would mean that you are making a direct difference to families when they need it most. Our packs provide practical essentials for parents so that when they are admitted with their child in an emergency, they can focus on what’s important.

10. Raising
awareness

Promoting our Noah’s Ark Charity events as well as the latest news from the Ark is a great way of helping us to raise awareness.  It could be something as simple as sharing our social media posts, placing a guest blog from the charity on your company website or putting up our event posters around your place of work.

11. On-pack or
trade promotion

Many customers would prefer to buy a product associated with a charity rather than one that isn’t. A cause-related marketing initiative could be in the form of in-store merchandising, on-pack promotions or trade promotions. These are all great ways to show your customers your support for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity.

12. Recycling

Your old clothes will make us very happy as we turn them into cash to fund vital life-saving equipment at our national children’s hospital. As well as dropping off bags to one of our textile banks at Tesco stores, we can arrange a special collection if your company has a recycling drive.

These are just a few ideas to get you started but we’d welcome any others you may have.  Drop us an email at enquiries@noahsarkcharity.org or call us on 029 2184 7310. We’d love to hear from you.
